Xiaomi has just informed its fans via MIUI Forums that they will be announcing the Xiaomi Mi 6X and Mi A2 on April 25, in Wuhan, Xiaomi’s Lei Jun CEO’s special place. Lei graduated Wuha University obtaining his Computer Science degree there in 1991.
Xiaomi Mi 6X and Mi A2 to officially debut on April 25
The latest teaser poster not only confirms the design of the back of Xiaomi’s Mi 6X sequel to Mi 5X, but also the dual camera setup of the main camera: 20MP + 20MP. The handset will feature 6-inch display with 1,080 x 2,160 pixels screen resolution (probably with 18:9 aspect ratio, not sure about whether or not the notch is present, but every Asian manufacturer seems to adopt one as of lately).
In addition, it should come equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 626 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (internal memory). The Mi 6X has a 2,910mAh battery embedded in the housing.
As for Xiaomi’s second generation Mi A1 dubbed this time around Mi A2, expect similar features as Mi 6X’s except that it will run Android One software (stock OS) instead of the usual MIUI ROM.
Pricing and availability will be announced during the event.
