Tomorrow is the most important day of 2018 for Huawei, because in a press event which will be happening (March 27) in Paris, the Chinese brand will be announcing the Huawei P20 series smartphones. The rivals and the answer to Apple’s iPhone X. We already have the P20 Lite in testing (pink version in the image above), and we cannot wait to have them on hand for testing as the build quality of the P20 Lite variant is impressive for a budget phone.
But before the announcement goes official, a German retailer, Saturn, has revealed Huawei P20 series price and specs.
Huawei P20 series price and specs
Both P20 and P20 Pro share the same Kirin 970 CPU, same 128GB internal storage memory, and the same design we’ve seen on Apple’s iPhone X, a device with a notch. The differences however are as follows:
The P20 Pro comes with a 6.1-inch Full HD+ display and 6GB of RAM, the standard P20 comes only with a 5.8-inch Full HD+ display and 4GB of RAM. The main camera setup at the back is also different. On the Pro model there is a triple camera with 40MP + 20MP + 8MP sensors, while on the standard variant there is a dual camera with 12MP RGB sensor + 20MP monocrome sensor with f/1.6 aperture (optical image stabilization only on the 12MP colour sensor).
All three phones run Android 8.1 Oreo with Emotion UI v8.1 on top of it.
As for prices, Saturn is selling the P20 Pro in Germany for 900 Euros, the standard P20 for 650 Euro, and the Lite variant for 370 Euros, but the quality (glass build with metal frame) of the latter device for such a low price point is impressive.
We will learn more tomorrow during the live streamed online press event from Paris.
