We heard that Huawei is adopting the same ridiculous notch Apple added to its iPhone X 2017 (who isn’t in 2018?), but we were not certain if the entire Huawei P20 smartphone series will get it. Things area clearer now, now that Evan Blass leaked press renders of what he says are the Huawei P20, P20 Lite and P20 Pro.
Beside all three getting the obvious cutout at the top of their 18:9 FullView displays, the Huawei P20 Pro stands out with its triple camera sensors setup at the back. Yes, triple sensors, and Huawei has “mooore AI” (Huawei’s way of hinting at triple sensors) explaining to do on March 27 when the launch event is schedule to take place in Paris. And yes, the P20 Pro is the power house of Huawei’s P series this year.
The standard P20 model and the Pro version will also feature a fingerprint sensor embedded in the chin (at the front), whilst P20 Lite has its fingerprint sensor at the back. P20 Lite is said to feature a 5.8-inch display with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. All three phones run Android 8.0 Oreo with the latest EMIUI from Huawei.
It seems that many more Asian mobile makers are looking to capitalize on Apple’s success with the iPhone X, by launching cheaper such alternatives powered by Google’s Android operating system.
