In a press event earlier this morning in China, Huawei introduced the third version of its Mate 9 phablet, the Mate 9 Pro, which is the same Mate 9 Porsche Design announced on November 3rd, except it will be available in three other colours (except no Black model this time around) and with slightly down-sized hardware inside. Price, too!
So, the Mate 9 Pro is basically a Porsche Design without the limited edition gimmicky. It has a curved on both edges 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 2K screen resolution (2,560 x 1,440 px), the same 64-bit octa-core Kirin 960 processor, runs Android Nougat out of the box, it has 12 and 20MP cameras and a fingerprint sensor at the back, as well as a 4,000 mAh battery.
The Mate 9 Pro will be available in two memory and internal storage versions: 6GB of RAM + 128GB of ROM (built-in storage, but no 256GB model) and 4GB of RAM + 64GB of ROM. Both variants will go on sale globally in White, Silver and Blue colours.
No word to when we will be able to see this phablet available in Europe (United Kingdom included), but be sure to check us on a daily basis for further details, as we will announce it once Huawei release this information.
