Galaxy S8 to feature 4K display, A.I. assistant and more

Galaxy S8

It is that time of the year when everything is pretty calm in terms of smartphone launches, while mobile makers are tinkering in secret on their next flagship devices. A time when rumours about such top-tier devices start to surface!

For instance, we know that Samsung is already working on its next Galaxy smartphone, the S8, but, for the moment, we have no idea what the next Galaxy flagship handset features will be. However, according to some online rumours surfaced in Asia, the Galaxy S8 will come in two variants: one that will feature a 2K 5.1″ display, the other a 4K 5.5″ display. Both displays might sport curved edges, and no flat display model in 2017.

Both these devices are rumoured to pack Qualcomm’s next chipset (Snapdragon 830) that the company is building together with Samsung using the 10nm process technology, or the Exynos 8895 (depending on the market where the S8’s are headed).

In addition, both Galaxy S8’s will likely sport the Iris scanning technology seen on the late Galaxy Note 7, will integrate the Viv A.I. assistant from Viv Labs, run Android 7.1 (Nougat) and maybe more RAM (6 GB).

How would you feel about two S8 phones with edge display?
