Known for its luxurious handmade mobile phones and other accessories, Vertu has announced three new smartphones under the Aster collection this week, featuring a distinctive canvas backing available in a pink, blue or black design.
Crafted from high-quality canvas material, the Aster Chevron Android powered phones are uniquely designed to deliver the ultimate lifestyle smartphone to the most fastidious clients. Just so you know, the name ‘Chevron’ comes from the unique pattern woven into the Italian canvas fabric, inspired by the Vertu logo.
“Fine leather is a staple of the luxury industry but it is not to everyone’s taste. While Vertu has always been able to supply man-made materials for its customers, this has formerly been exclusively through our bespoke ordering process. Aster Chevron has been developed to cater for these requests on a much larger scale,” said Vertu Chief Designer, Hutch Hutchison.
The Aster Chevron smartphone collection include Pink, Blue and Black colour models, with each model having a price tag of 3.900 Euro.
Hardware wise, all three phones feature 4.7-inch Full HD display, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, it comes with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM (internal storage).
Other specs include a 13MP main camera at the back, with a 2.1MP snapper for selfies at the front. The Aster Chevron smartphone has a 2,275 mAh battery, stereo speakers and it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Also, it has Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, Qi wireless charging and 4G LTE connectivity.
For such a steep price you are not getting much in the hardware department, but you do get a stylish looking smartphone made of Titanium covered with Sapphire glass.
