Galaxy Note 7 goes official

During an event that took place earlier today, August 2, in New York City, Samsung Electronics officially announced the all new Galaxy Note 7 phablet. The handset comes with what the company calls an Iris scanner and its entire glass and metal design is water-resistant. The S Pen, too!

Galaxy Note 7 feature 5.7-inch Quad HD display powered by an octa-core 2.3GHz processor and a large 3,500 mAh built-in battery. The Note 7 is quite thin at 7.9mm and it weighs only 169 grams.

Additionally, Samsung equipped the Note 7 with 5 and 12MP cameras, the main one at the back feature OIS. Connectivity-wise the phablet comes with everything that comes through your mind: it has NFC, USB-C port (finally a Samsung device with the new standard), it has 4G LTE (Cat 12, 10 or 9, depending on the market), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. Other features included in this new Note series handset are the fast charging through the USB port as well as wireless fast charging.


Samsung Electronics says that the Galaxy Note 7 will be available in Blue Coral, Silver Titanium and Black
