HTC’s 2016 Nexus design, codename Marlin, revealed in a 90% accurate rendering


Google will be announcing two new Nexus smartphones this autumn, and one of them is made by HTC.

On that note, folk at TechDroider blog claim that they’ve seen an actual HTC made Nexus device for 2016. And so they made a rendering, which according to them is 90% accurate to how the smartphone’s design will look like when it will come out later this year.

Google’s next Nexus smartphone, code name ‘Marlin’, has its overall aesthetics drawn from the hTC 10 metal design. It even has those chamfered edges, which on the Nexus are tinier.

The rumour has it that the 2016 HTC Nexus feature 5.5-inch Quad HD display, it will come equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon chipset, 4GB of RAM, 3,450 mAh battery, 12MP camera on the back and a fingerprint sensor right underneath, and not at the front, like we’ve seen it on the hTC 10.

The next iteration of Android, dubbed Nougat, will be arriving this fall pre-installed on two new Nexus’ Google is working on right now, with hTC and Huawei.
