Last week, Lenovo introduced the new Moto G smartphone series, and now we are getting news that at least one of them will see an upgrade next year to Google’s Android O build, thanks to a leaked piece of document.
According to what you see above, the Moto G4 Plus smartphone will be upgraded in 2017 to Android O by Lenovo, a build which Google has yet to announce (likely in the first quarter of next year). The news breaks ahead of Android N build even being released by Google to Android users. The other week at Google I/O 2016, the Search giant announced the availability of Android N first beta, but only limited to some Nexus devices and for developers only.
Either way, Lenovo is looking to keep its clients close for at least another year, by rolling out critical (security) software updates and upgrades to the next build of Android.
Moto G4 Plus could be an affordable alternative to other smartphones that will be running Android O in late 2017.
