Like a caterpiller going through its metamorphosis stages before becoming a butterfly, Motorola is also going through such heavy changes, as the company is under new management, Chinese management (Lenovo purchased Motorola from Google). After recent Lenovo’s mobile division merger with Motorola, we are expecting the first handsets coming out on the market later this summer under the Moto brand. And one of the first smartphones might be the Lenovo XT1700, spotted recently on GFX Bench website in benchmark results.
As you can see, Lenovo XT1700 (Moto XT1700) has entry-level specs, which leads us to believe that this could be Motorola’s next-gen Moto E, a device that might see the light of day retaining the circled M logo but using a different marketing name – Lenovo Moto E.
The alleged Moto E, model number Lenovo XT1700, feature 5-inch 720p HD screen, it is powered by MediaTek’s MT6735P chipset sportin a quad-core processor clocked at 1GHz frequency.
Other specs include 2GB of RAM, Mali-T720 GPU, 16GB of built-in storage, 8MP main camera capable of shooting videos in Full HD and a 5MP front-facing selfie camera.
If the Lenovo XT1700 is indeed the Moto E 3rd Gen, then it wont be long before we see it launch (early this summer).
