Samsung has been busy updating past flagship devices to the latest Android 6.0 version, dubbed Marshmallow. Android 6.0 will be making its way to the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ after hitting the Galaxy Note 5, S6, S6 Edge and S5 during those past couple of months.
The Marshmallow firmware update is weighs around 1.3GB and is initially seeding to S6 edge+ units in India and France, the much awaited update brings a plethora of updated core Samsung apps including Quick Connect as well as a refined version of TouchWiz found on more recent Samsung devices and minor security and performance tweaks to the fingerprint scanner. The battery saver application has also seen some refinements which should hopefully translate into better battery life.
Users should soon see an update notification, if not simply head to ‘About Device’ and perform a manual update check.
