Casio starts selling Smart Outdoor Watch (WSD-F10)

Recently, Casio announced its first smartwatch powered by Android Wear platform developed by Google dubbed Smart Outdoor Watch (model number WSD-F10). The watch was built by military standard specifications and it comes with water resistance coating, allowing one to dive with it up to 50 meters deep (5 atmosphere water resistance).

Casio’s Smart Outdoor Watch (WSD-F10) comes with dual-layer LCD display (color LCD + monochrome LCD), its own custom watch faces and a lot of sensors and tools such as Barometer, Altimeter, Compass, Tide Graph, but also Android Wear apps such as ViewRanger, Runkeeper, Yamap, My Radar. Casio Smart Outdoor Watch (WSD-F10) has dedicated buttons which allows one to cycle between the tools mentioned above and one can even assign a button to a specific app via an Android smartphone.

Casio WSD-F10 display measures 1.32″ and it sports a capacitive touch enabled panel with 320×320 pixels screen resolution. The battery inside takes up to 2 hours to fully charge and offers up to 1 day of use, before you’ll have to plug it in again. It has 512MB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage, WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity.

The watch is available on sale as of today, March 25, through Casio’s own online shop, via Amazon or Google Play store in the US and the UK in Black, Red, Green and Orange colors. Casio’s first smartwatch will set you back $500 if purchased.
