Fans love having great fun around the dessert code name Google is annually choosing for its new build of Android operating system. And this year is going to be even greater, because it is rumoured that Google intends to allow fans to vote in a Poll which will be the designated dessert name for Android N, build that Google Inc will probably announce and demo during Google I/O 16 (May 18 – 20).
And the Android N name teasing begins with Hiroshi Lockheimer, Senior Vice President of Android, Chromecast and Chrome OS, who took it to Twitter (via its own account), to tease us about the code name the new build will carry.
Although Hiroshi isn’t referring to a dessert starting with the letter N, but rather to a Japanese kitchen ingredient often used with Sushi, the tweet is obviously intended to tease the audience about the up and coming Android build.
So, which will it be? Nougat, Nutella, Nestle Crunch, the list could go on and on! Which one would you like to represent Android 6.1, or will it be Android 7.0? A lot of unknown variables.
On a side note, last night during the Oscars ceremony, Google’s “Rock, paper, scissors” cute TV ad aired, as part of the anti-bullying campaign Android is running in the US. Take a look below!
