In October last year, in China, Huawei announced the affordable Honor 5X smartphone, an Android-powered device sporting an all-metal body and ultra-fast fingerprint sensor.
Huawei has started promoting the Honor 5X smartphone on its European blog, adding a picture of the smartphone, “no nonsense” tag line and a countdown, which hints at a February 4th launch for Europe.
There’s also a couple of tweets made by the official Honor UK team on Twitter, which states “the soon to be available” Honor 5X.

In case someone needs reminding, the Huawei Honor 5X sports an octa-core Snapdragon 616 CPU backed by the Adreno 405 GPU, feature a 5.5″ Full HD display, comes in 2 or 3GB of RAM, 5 and 13MP cameras, a 3,000 mAh battery and it runs Android Lollipop.
The Honor 5X comes with an all-metal made and elegant housing and features a ultra-fast fingerprint sensor on the back.
As for the price, we should expect retailers to sell it for about 200 – 230 Euros in Europe.
