Sony has teased us for a while with something pink and we finally know what that is (as if anybody had any doubts what it will be, right?).
As expected, today, Sony Mobile division announced Xperia Z5 Pink with frosted glass and aluminium frame. This is the fourth color variant of the Xperia Z5 series, besides Black, White and Green.
“Choosing a colour is a detailed process. The material of the phone and the design of the curves and edges play an important role and has a great impact on which colour is best suited. We knew we wanted to add pink to the Z5 series from our very first moodboards and sketches as it seemed to compliment the colour palette to the rest of the range,” said Rikke Gertsen Constein, Art Director of Sony Mobile Division.
Sony Xperia Z5 Pink color is inspired by the Japanese Sakura cherry blossom right through to the colours in the sky during a beautiful sunset. “We wanted the colour to appear strong and modern, and here the material is playing an important role. I feel what we have achieved with the light dusky pink is fresh, contemporary and modern in the Z5 materials,” added Sony’s Art Director.
In terms of internal hardware, the Xperia Z5 Pink comes with the same specifications as earlier models launched at IFA 2015: 5.2″ Full HD display, Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor, 4G LTE, 3GB of RAM, 23MP main camera, a 2,900 mAh battery, fingerprint technology integrated in the Power button on the side and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Regarding Xperia Z5 Pink availability Sony only said that it will go on sale next month, but without revealing on which markets and at what price tag.
