Alcatel is definitely not looking to impress through power and performance, when it comes to Android smartphones, but it is present in the mobile industry every now and then with devices that most of the people can afford buying without compromising the user experience. This because Alcatel focuses mainly on delivering low-end and mid-range devices to emerging markets around the world.
This week a new Alcatel smartphone showed up at GFX Bench under the model name Alcatel TCL6070. The handset itself is a 5.5″ device equipped with a Full HD panel, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 (a renamed Snapdragon 620) apparently giving that the CPU has octa-cores at 1.8Ghz frequency and the GPU is an Adreno 510.
Other specs revealed by the GFX Bench listing are 16MP front and back cameras with 4K video recording capability (selfie/multimedia oriented device an affordable price maybe?), 3GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM (built-in storage) and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Alcatel TCL6070 device might go official soon, as the Consumer Electronics Show 2016 (January 5th, Las Vegas) approaches rapidly.
Judging from its specs sheet perspective, It looks like Alcatel is prepping its 2016 flagship smartphone for launch. What do you think of this upcoming One Touch device?
