Four Galaxy S7 models at least, are expected to launch in 2016 under Samsung Electronics flagship series.
Samsung Electronics showed us many times before that it isn’t playing small, but rather big, when it comes to smartphones. The South Korean OEM is currently hard at work developing at least four Galaxy S7 models, for 2016.
The rumour has it, that there will be a Galaxy S7, a Galaxy S7 Edge, GalaxyS7 Edge Plus and a Galaxy S7 Plus variant. Aside from these four, we’re also expecting a Galaxy S7 mini and a Galaxy S7 Active model, if Samsung’s mobile history teach us anything.
A recently published 3D rendering of the Galaxy S7 Plus, gave us a sneak peek at what could be the final design of the entire series, which is, a more roundish device than the current Galaxy S6 and all its siblings. This slightly more round on the edges S7 is seemingly confirmed by a few photos of the alleged metal chassis of next Samsung flagship handset, as you can see above and below. These images are also confirming the position of the main camera and other ports, as well as the internal hardware of the phone.
Even though there were rumours suggesting Samsung will launch the Galaxy S7 early in 2016, we shouldnt expect it sooner than late February (around Mobile World Congress 2016, Barcelona), with availability after March 20th at least.
Meanwhile, Samsung is about to unleash its 2016 Galaxy A series of smartphones, at the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, at the end of the first week, in January.
