Founded in 2009 in China, Vivo Electronics has since claimed the ‘Thinnest smartphone in the world‘ title every few years with smartphones such as Vivo X1, Vivo X3 or X5Max.

This year, the Chinese mobile maker announces not one, but two new ultra-thin Vivo smartphones: Vivo X6 and Vivo X6 Plus.


Sporting an ultra-thin (6.6mm & 6.9mm) 98.3% metal body, both Vivo X6 and Vivo X6 Plus pack MediaTek’s MT6752 octa-core processor with Mali-T760 GPU and 4GB of RAM. Both devices come equipped with a Full HD AMOLED display, 8 and 13MP cameras, fingerprint technology, 32 or 64GB of built-in storage, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, 4G LTE (dual SIM slots – one acts as a microSD card slot if required),


Vivo X6 Plus weighs in at 171g, comes with a 3,000 mAh built-in battery and a 5.7″ display with 386 ppi. The slightly smaller Vivo X6 weighs in at 135g, comes equipped with a 2,400 mAh built-in battery and a 5.2″ display with 424 ppi.

Vivo X6 and Vivo X6 Plus runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with FunTouch UX on top of it and they will be available in Gold, Rose Gold and Silver colours as of December 7 for a starting price tag of 380 Euros.
