The A8 went official earlier this year in two variants: one powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615, the other powered by an Exynos 5 Octa SoC.

New benchmark listing on GFX Bench website shows an octa-core equipped smartphone, chipset provided by Samsung itself. According to GFX it will be an Exynos 7 Octa chipset. Other specs confirmed by the same benchmark result listing are as follows:

  • 5.2-inch Full HD screen
  • Android 5.1.1 OS
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 32GB of ROM (built-in storage)
  • ARM Mali-T760 MP6 (hexa-core GPU)
  • Exynos 7 Octa CPU
  • 16MP rear camera
  • 5MP front-facing camera

The rumour has it that Samsung will unveil the new Galaxy A smartphone series early this December, including the Galaxy A8 (SM-A800x).
