It looks like Xiaomi had a last moment change of heart. So, instead of announcing the Redmi Note 2 Pro as expected tomorrow in Beijing, the Chinese brand will announce Redmi Note 3. You follow? No?

It is the same device except it will go on sale under a different marketing name, Redmi Note 3, according to a teaser ad published recently by Xiaomi’s Weibo official Redmi brand account.

The Note 2 Pro future Redmi Note 3 phablet will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p display, MediaTek’s Helio X10 (MT6795) chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a fingerprint sensor on the back under the main 13MP camera, with 5MP front-facing camera and a 3,060 mAh battery.

Xiaomi will launch the Redmi Note 3 in China on Tuesday, November 24, running a customized version of Android 5.1 Lollipop the company calls MIUI.

More details tomorrow, after the press conference in Beijing is over.
