LG G3 upgrade to Marshmallow begins this December, confirmation comes more or less from an LG Poland representative.
Poland seems to be the country of choice for many OEMs when it comes to software updates roll out. A new report coming from a local Polish blog called Tablety.pl hints at a mid-December start date for LG G3 users who are anxiously waiting for an upgrade to Marshmallow.
The news comes in the form of a tweet reply to a Twitter user posted by Jaroslaw Bukowski, an LG Poland executive. Apparently, the G3’s firmware which includes Android 6.0 is in its final testing stages and it could start deploying in the country between December 16 – 18, with other countries to follow soon after, if all goes well in the first wave.
LG G3 captured the ‘Smartphone of the year’ award back in 2014, prize split in two with Apple’s iPhone 6 at the time.
