HTC is really trying to get back in the game after losing the “Best smartphone of the year award” in front of Apple’s iPhone 6 and LG’s G3. Now more than ever, since their 2015 flagship smartphone announced in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress, One M9, is labeled a failure.
Recently HTC introduced the One A9, a well-balanced hardware wise smartphone that looks awfully similar to the iPhone, but this device doesn’t seem to do it for the Taiwanese brand. The rumour has it, HTC is working on an even better smartphone right now dubbed One X9, that could feature 2K screen resolution, octa-core CPU from Qualcomm or MediaTek (either the Snapdragon 820 or Helio X20 chipset).
An Ad poster has been making the rounds on Weibo Chinese social network showing an alleged One X9 with dual front-facing stereo speakers powered by HTC BoomSound, now developed by Dolby Sound.
Other rumoured specs are a 3,500 mAh battery, 4GB of RAM, UltraPixel front-facing camera, 23MP main camera sensor and the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS on-board with a lite version of HTC Sense UI on top of it, probably.
At this point please take this with a grain of salt, until we receive news from a more trustworthy source.
