Samsung Electronics is one of the biggest electronics maker’s in the world and for a good reason. The company throws all sort of gadgets on the market, some are here to stay, some are left behind as a total letdown like the Galaxy Round, Galaxy Mega series and other such products.

After a whole year of teasing, Samsung has finally took the wraps off of its ridiculously large Android-powered tablet, the Galaxy View. The giant tablet comes with a 18.4″ TFT LCD 1080p display, with Samsung’s Exynos 7580 chipset which provides an octa-core 1.6GHz processor. It also has 2GB of RAM, 32GB / 64GB of internal storage expandable through a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 4G (nano sim slot) and a 5700 mAh battery that promises up to 8 hours of continuous video playback.

Samsung equipped the Galaxy View tablet with a handle (yes, like the handle of a bag/suitcase) so that one can carry it around. The tablet weighs in at 2.65kg, which means it’s almost as hard as a gaming laptop to maneuver around. Galaxy View also comes with rubber feet for stable positioning on flat surfaces and its got two-way stand too.

Samsung Galaxy View runs Android 5.1 out of the box with a skin on top of it that the company calls Media UX. Price and availability hasn’t been confirmed yet by Samsung but the rumour hast it will cost around $600 in retail, in the US.
