Gigabyte announces Essence and Classic

Gigabyte, mainly known in the tech industry for its PC components, the Taiwan based company has announced earlier today four new entry-level Android powered smartphones under Essence and Classic codename.

Gigabyte Classic, Classic Lite and the Gigabyte Essence and Essence 4 are all Android phones with dual SIM slots and quad-core chipsets available for under 100 Euro.

The best of the four is the Gigabyte Classic rocking a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, feature a 5″ IPS 720p HD display, comes with a 2,000 mAh battery, Android 5.1 Lollipop, 5 and 8MP cameras and 1GB of RAM, 8GB of ROM (internal storage). The Classic Lite however, features a 5″ 854 x 480 screen, Android 4.4 Kitkat, 2 and 5MP cameras, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage and a 2,100 mAh. The Lite model is priced at 75 Euro, while the better one costs 95 Euro.

Gigabyte Essence runs Kitkat 4.4 like the Classic Lite and it has a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, but it sports a slightly smaller IPS screen, a 4.5-inch display with 854 x 480 pixels. In addition, packs 512MB of RAM, 8GB internal storage, 2 and 5MP cameras and a 1,600 mAh battery. The Essence costs only 70 Euro.

The smallest of the pack Essence 4 comes obviously with a 4-inch display, 800 x 480 px screen resolution, 0.3 and 2MP cameras, 4GB built-in storage with microSD card slot include like on all four devices, and a 1,300 mAh battery. This little fellow costs 55 Euro.
