Sony announces Xperia Z5 Premium, worlds first smartphone with a 4K screen

Sony announces Xperia Z5 Premium

In a press event which took place yesterday in Berlin at IFA 2015, Sony introduced on the market the worlds first smartphone equipped with a 4K screen resolution part of the Xperia Z5 series. On top of that, the Xperia Z5 Premium smartphone comes with a 23MP main camera capable of capturing crisp, focused pictures in just 0.03 seconds, that’s faster than the blink of an eye.

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium 4K screen is an IPS panel that comes with Triluminos technology similar with what we can find in the BRAVIA 4K TV’s Sony announced earlier this year at CES. The resolution is 3,840 x 2,160, four times 1080p. Imagine all those pixels in your pocket or in the palm of your hand.

Additionally, the Xperia Z5 Premium packs an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage, which is expandable for up to 200GB more in case one needs more space to store 4K videos on it. As for the battery, Sony equipped the 5.5-inch top-tier smartphone with a 3,430 mAh battery.

Sony says that the smartphone will be available as of November in single and dual SIM variants both packing 4G LTE Category 6 technology.
