Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus images show hands-on time spent with both handsets out of which we learn a few more things.
In about a couple of days Samsung will hold the second biggest event of the year as importance in New York called – Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2015. At the event Samsung is expected to out both the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus (phablet-sized Galaxy S6 Edge with internal hardware upgrades), plus a mystery device. Some say it could be a new tablet or the Galaxy S6 Mini that we’ve seen recently leak in several images. Either way, the event is this Thursday and almost every tech enthusiast is excited about Samsung big unveiling.
On that note, a redditor that goes by the username JoelRTavers leaked some key information about the Note 5 and the S6 Edge+. He claims he was recently visited by an Samsung rep who showcased him both this handsets and he wanted to clear the mist on a few things, like the fact (he claims) that the Note 5 will not feature a microSD card slot (the dual SIM variant however, will do), the S Pen will feature a “push to pop mechanism”, kinda of like the microSD card slot when you push it in until it clicks than sticks inside in the slot.
Joel also says that the Galaxy Note 5 is a bit thicker than the iPhone 6 Plus, but its shorter in length/height and narrower in width, making way easier to grip than its predecessor or the iPhone 6 Plus, and it will have 4GB of RAM, but by the time the Note boots up 50% of it will be used by the system and the pre-installed software (apps).
There’s a little bit more information about these two handsets but we will let you read it on Reddit straight from the source, Joel, the retailer guy.
We also have a couple of images that reveal the retail box of the Galaxy Note 5, which gives us the alleged key specs: 4G LTE, 4GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage, 5 and 16MP cameras, wireless charging feature that works only with a charging Samsung Pad and the 5.7″ QuadHD Super AMOLED display, all confirmed.
