Huawei is one of the top 5 mobile makers to watch right now. The Chinese OEM has already unleashed a few interesting gadgets in the first half of 2015, including the flagship smartphone dubbed Huawei P8.
IFA 2015 Berlin is right around the corner and mobile makers such as Huawei are hard at work looking to launch new products at the expo whose doors open in early September. It is the perfect enviroment for a mobile product launch and Huawei knows it, which is why we are expecting it to unveil its next-generation phablet, the Ascend Mate 8.
Over the weekend @evleaks released a press image of an unknown handset that looks a lot like the rumoured Mate 8. Aside from this image, there’s also a brief hands-on video shown such a prototype, as well as a couple of new real-life images with this handset that were published on Weibo social network in China.
The alleged Ascend Mate 8 (model number CRR-UL00) is said to feature a 6″ display with Full HD screen resolution. The hear of the Mate 8 is a 64-bit octa-core CPU clocked at 2.2GHz with a Mali-T624 GPU, 3GB of RAM and a 13MP main camera on the back. The OS of choice is Android 5.1.1 Lollipop according to what we see on the screen of the device in two of these images.
