Sony’s Xperia Z3+ / Xperia Z4 is the official flagship smartphone for 2015. Well, sort of, because the Japanese OEM is about to unleash a new beast during IFA2015, in Berlin early next month dubbed Xperia Z5.
Sony Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact are about to make their debut on the smartphone market (less than a month from now). Both phones have been allegedly sighted in a couple of photographs that were shared in the last 48 hours via Twitter by @ViziLeaks account.
The specs of the Xperia Z5 will blow the competition away as it will feature a 5.5-inch display, some say with 4K display, but we’re probably be looking at a 2K or even lesser pixels – Full HD screen. The heart of the Z5 will be Qualcomm’s next-gen 64-bit chipset, the Snapdragon 820 backed-up by 4GB of RAM. The Z5 will also pack a massive 4,500 mAh battery and a main camera equipped with a new IMX Exmor RS sensor that will sport a 30MP lens, if we are to believe the speculations right now.
Additionally, as we can see depicted in these couple of images, both phones will feature fingerprint technology and a new Power button, and we are expecting them to be a little thicker, especially the Xperia Z5.
Both Sony Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact are expected to launch at Sony’s September 2nd event taking place in Berlin, at IFA. Xperia Z5 might go on sale soon after that for £550 (unlocked, carrier free).
