Sony is talking very seriously the Selfie trend, and to show us how serious it is, the Japanese company has just announced two new Selfie-dedicated smartphones: the Xperia M5, which feature a 13MP front-facing camera and the Xperia C5 Ultra, a 6″ phablet with front-facing LED Flash.
Think of Xperia M5 as the successor of Xperia M4 Aqua, which was released back in May. The new smartphone comes with a Z-series design, but with a huge front-facing camera sensor and a whooping 21.5MP rear-camera capable of shooting videos in 4K.
Xperia M5 feature a 5″ IPS LCD Full HD display, it is powered by MediaTek’s 64-bit octa-core processor Helio X10 clocked at 2GHz, 3GB of RAM, comes with 16GB of built-in storage which you can expand for up to 200GB via a microSD card slot, it has a 2,600 mAh battery underneath and it runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The Sony Xperia M5 measures 7.6 mm in thickness and it weighs a little over 140 grams. Sony will start selling the M5 in Black, White and Gold color. The Gold model looks gorgeous as you can see from these images.
