Today, in an event that took place at The Brewery, in London, but also streamed live from New York and other corners of the world, Motorola introduced its Moto series of smartphones – Moto G 3rd Gen, Moto X Style and Moto X Play.
Moto X style and Moto X Play are the top dogs in terms of Motorola smartphones this year, with Moto X Style representing the top model.
Moto X Style feature a more elegant design addresign to those that are looking for a much classier handset. X Style sports a 5.7″ QuadHD display, it is equipped with Qualcomm’s hexa-core processor, the Snapdragon 808 clocked at 1.8GHz, it comes with 3GB of RAM, 16 / 32 / 64GB of RAM (internal storage optional) and there’s also a fast-charging 3,000 mAh battery capable of recharging up to 34% in only 15 minutes, through its TurboPower technology, which will last for up to 10 hours of use.
Additionally, the Moto X Style is equipped with “the most advanced camera technologies available” that takes advantage of a 21MP camera sensor with f/2.0 lens capable of recording videos in 4K format, while the front-facing camera sports a 5MP sensor with 87 degree wide-angle lens and LED Flash.
The Moto X Play is a slightly down-sized version of the X Style, which is oriented towards active consumers. Moto X Play comes with a 5.5″ Full HD display, powered by a Snapdragon 615 processor coupled by 2GB of RAM. The phone comes in 16 or 32GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB through a microSD card slot. Downsized or not, the X Play battery comes in 3,630 mAh capacity offering up to 48 hours of usage, so you dont have to stress out on the battery level throughout the day. While it still has TurboPower charging support, the Turbocharger 15 is optional.
Moto X Play will be available starting in August in various countries across Europe, Latin America and Canada (sorry, it won’t be available in the US, but we’ll have more choices for you all later this year). Moto X Style will be available in countries across Europe, Latin America and North America starting in September.
