If you’re a long time reader of PocketDroid, you’ll know that I love the Galaxy Note series from Samsung. It was my first Android phone in fact. I’ve moved on, but I still think the phone is a great device. Which is why I’m excited to see pictures leak from our friends at Mobile Fun of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus pictures leaked:
The pictures clearly show that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has kept its metal and glass design and hos nothing but the home button on the front. Other rumours claim that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will have 4GB of RAM, a large battery (my Note 2 had a 3200 mAh battery, which was massive at the time), and maybe even a USB type C charger. Sadly, these photo’s don’t confirm or deny this. They’re somewhat blurry images of the front of the device only (and taken on an iPhone).
As for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, all reports state that it’s just a bigger version of the Galaxy S6 Edge launched in April this year. From what we’ve heard on the grape-vine, all the internal specs will stay the same, but the screen will grow (and we don’t have exact measurements of how big either).
Finally, rumours indicate that the two phones will be launched at an early event (for Samsung, who usually have an event in September) some time round mid-August. No invites have been sent out yet, so this is, again, just rumour and speculation, but if it’s true, then we won’t have too much longer to wait till we get to see the two new devices from Samsung.
What do you think? Would you buy a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 or a S6 Edge Plus? Let us know in the comments.
