Samsung releases Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 in India.

Samsung Electronics unleashed on the Indian market at the end of last week a couple of new smartphones – Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5. Both smartphones run Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and they come as mid-range handsets.

The smaller one of the two, the Galaxy J5, feature a 5″ 720p display, comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 (4G LTE included), 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage (microSD card slot included), a 2,600 mAh battery and 5 and 13MP cameras.

The Galaxy J7 however, comes equipped with a phablet-sized 720p HD screen, which measures 5.5″ in diagonal. The J7 is powered by the 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core chipset and it is equipped with a 3,000 mAh battery, while the rest of its specs are similar to the J5.

Both the Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 will be available in India on pre-order from July 23rd for INR 14,999 (about 220 Euro) and the smaller one for 11,999 (about 175 Euro), Customers who will purchase one of the two phones will also receive $50 worth in-app purchases (Gameloft only) and double the mobile data for a period of 6 months if you are an Airtel 4G customer.
