LG Electronics announced earlier this morning a new variation of the LG G4 dubbed G4 Beat. A down-sized G4 if you will, which retains the overall aesthetics of LG’s flagship without compromising on functionality and offered at a lower price.
LG says the smartphone will be available later this month in key markets within Europe, as well as in other regions such as South America (Brazil). The G4 Beat will eventually expand its global rollout to countries such as Canada, India, Russia, Singapore, South Africa and Turkey, among others.
LG G4 Beat feature a 5.2-inch IPS Full HD display (423ppi), it has a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor that delivers 4G LTE, 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot. The G4 Beat is 9.85 thick, weighs 139 grams and it retain all the key design elements that we’ve seen on the G4 flagship.
In addition, the G4 Beat is equipped with a 2,300 mAh removable battery, 5 and 8MP camers (some countries in Latin America will receive the 13MP model), runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and it has WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS, micro USB, GLONASS connectivity.
The LG G4 Beat will be available in Silver, White and Gold starting later this month. No price tag has been revealed by the OEM.
