Google asks everyone to migrate from ADT to Android Studio by year end

In 2013 Google Developers introduced Android Studio, a package of powerful and comprehensive tools which helps developers to build Android apps compatible with all Google’s current Android-based platforms: mobile, tv, car, wear, etc.

On this note, Google has announced that they will end development and support for Eclipse’s Android Developer Tools (ADT) at the end of the year (2015) and they ask everyone to migrate to Android Studio. This specifically includes the Eclipse ADT plugin and Android Ant build system.

The migration process is extremely simple. First, make sure you have Android Studio installed (download the SDK from here), then import all your existing Eclipse ADT projects in Android Studio with File → New→ Import Project as shown on Android Developers blog or you can check the migration guide.
