We now know a few things about OnePlus‘ upcoming smartphone OnePlus 2, nicknamed ‘the flagship killer’, like it will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chipset and the fact that it will probably be the first smartphone to feature a USB Type-C reversible connector.
Today, we bring you a photo of an alleged back cover of the OnePlus 2, which hints at optional / switchable covers made out of different materials. In this case, we are looking at what appears to be a wood-like textured back cover, unless its plastic. Samsung is notorious for producing plastic covers that mimic leather. Recently, LG adopted leather back covers on the LG G4, after Motorola unleashed its Moto Maker, a tool that allows one to customize its Moto X back to his liking (leather, wooden, plasticky back).
The alleged OnePlus 2 back cover pictured in this image reveal a larger than what we’ve seen on the OnePlus One hole, right where the camera sits. The cut-out is three times larger than the [1+] logo, whereas on the first generation flagship killer was only two-times larger in size, and the cut does not start from the top edge of the handset, but slightly lower.
OnePlus will unveil the OnePlus 2 (Two) in a live streamed event in Virtual Reality on July 27th.
