OnePlus 2 launch date schedule for July 27th. The streaming will be live over the Internet in VR mode.
In the past year or so, we’ve grown accustomed to OnePlus ways of promoting its products, and this year is no different. A while back OnePlus started a teasing campaign for the next flagship killer, which will culminate on July 27th with the unveiling of the OnePlus 2 smartphone in a very unusual but cool launch event, one that will be streamed live over the Internet, but viewable only in Virtual Reality.
This is the first smartphone launch in history happening in VR, and we cannot wait to see it but also learn more about the next flagship killer.
OnePlus 2 is said to feature a Snapdragon 810 v2.1 (CPU version that doesn’t heat up), 3 or 4GB of RAM, Adreno 430 GPU, maybe a 16MP rear-camera, 5.5″ Quad HD display (2560 x 1440 px), a larger than 3,000 mAh in capacity battery, USB Type-C port standard and Oxygen OS based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, with users possibly being able to upgrade to Android M build, later in the year.
OnePlus is also likely to cost more than last year’s OnePlus One.
