The very successful OnePlus startup is going to unveil soon the next generation “flagship killer” smartphone, handset which will still feature killer specs and a more affordable price in comparison with other flagship phones, but not as affordable as last year OnePlus One apparently. Mainly because of the Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chipset (model that doesnt overheat according to OnePlus after thorough testing).
OnePlus 2 will likely cost more than $325 but it will also be one of the first smartphones equipped with the latest USB standard, USB Type-C, which allows two-way data transfer and charging. OnePlus 2 battery will also charge faster, but it can also charge other third-party devices like bluetooth headsets, speakers, phones, tablets, etc.
Specs-wise, the OnePlus 2 could feature a Quad HD IPS display since it sports the Snapdragon 810 with Adreno 430 GPU, 3 or 4GB of RAM, better Camera, at least 3.000 mAh battery and Oxygen OS based likely on Lollipop, but upgradable to Android M build in the future.
OnePlus 2 is expect to launch next month, but it will not be available to consumers unless they receive an invite.
