After having software optimization problems months in a row with the Moto X 2013 due to its computing chip, Motorola started last week a soak test in Brazil, US and Canada, and since those tests looked promising, the company is now announcing that the full deployment of Android 5.1 Lollipop upgrade for Moto X has started in all the above mentioned markets. In the US and Brazil we are talking about the retail model, while in Canada is the Rogers version, that are getting the software as we speak.
If you want to learn whats new in this latest software update there’s a change log on Motorola’s Online Support page, but will mention a few key features such as the Material Design, the Notifications UI (bar and lock screen), battery energy consumption optimization, better performance of the handset, etc.
The update is being rolled out over the air, you’ll receive a download notification in the coming week.
Did you get it yet? How is the software behaving?
