Blackberry finally acknowledging the importance of adopting Android as main OS?

Once the number one company in the mobile industry, is now left with less than 1% market share on a segment where Apple and Samsung continues to dominate.

According to Reuters report, Blackberry is looking to throw-in a smartphone powered by Google Android operating system this autumn, which means that the Canadian company has finally acknowledged that adopting the number one OS in the industry is of great importance. Many have said in the past that its future / survival as a mobile maker could depend on it.

Reuters sources familiar with Blackberry short term plans, hint at an Android-powered Blackberry smartphone which will feature both the touch enabled screen and the famous physical QWERTY keyboard that we all loved at some point (some still do), and IFA 2015 Berlin, seems the perfect stage to introduce such a device.
