Earlier this week Sony announced the global variant of the Xperia Z4 flagship smartphone, which for some weird reason is not the Z4, but the Xperia Z3+ (Plus), pretty much a rebranding of the same device. Xperia Z3+ will be launching globally as of next month, and we gotta say that it looks marvelous. Sony Xperia Z3 Plus comes with a 5.2″ Full HD display and Triluminos technology, it is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor, it has 3GB of RAM, 20.7MP rear-facing camera with Exmor RS sensor and a 2,900 non-removable battery. The smartphone is dust and water resistant, but also very slim at its only 6.9mm thickness and light as well – 144 grams.
Folks at ePrice Taiwan spent some quality time with the phone and managed to snuck Xperia Z3 Plus benchmark results, which look pretty impressive as you can see from the AnTuTu screenshot above. The score – 50.875 points, is a little but still higher than Meizu MX4 or the Samsung Galaxy Note 4’s, meaning Sony managed to optimize the software quite well on this handset.
Clove Technology lists the Xperia Z3 Plus in Black or White for £549 (tax included) available in late June.
