New Asus ZenFone smartphone spotted at TENAA

Asus ZenFone

Asus’ press conference at Computex 2015 in Taipei will be all about the Zen series, in fact, the entire advertising campaign relies on the “ZenSation” slogan. We know that Asus is going to unleash a couple of ZenPad tablets but we had no idea that a new ZenFone smartphone is also on its way. Thanks to Chinese TENAA certification authority, we learn that Asus is going to launch a new Asus ZenFone too, one that looks almost similar to earlier models: ZenFone 5, ZenFone 2, except the LED Flash on the back as well as that whatever sensor (heart rate?) or what it is, are placed in-line with the 8MP camera now, on previous models the LED Flash was either under the camera or on top of it.

The specs sheet does not look impressive, the new Asus ZenFone (model number Z00EDB) feature a 5-inch 720p display, a quad-core Intel processor clocked at 1.2GHz, it has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage (microSD card slot included for up to 32GB), 5MP front-facing camera, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with ZenUI on top of it. Judging from these hardware specifications, it will likely be another affordable ZenFone handset.

So far, this is all the news we have on this new Asus ZenFone smartphone. More on June 1st, when Asus is broadcasting live from Computex 2015.
