With only 3 more days until Google I/O 2015 open its doors at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, we cannot but get more excited at the hearing of a fresh news about the next Android build version, which will be Android M / Android 6.0 (maybe) as most of you’ve probably heard of by now. This build went from M&M’s to Muffin to Milkshake (deserts), but those are not it according to folks at AndroidPolice who received a tip about Googlers using the codename Macadamia Nut Cookie (MNC) internally for the next Android OS iteration.
The MNC term is used in several occasions in AOSP (see it mentioned here and here), however, like in previous years, when Google used and than dropped code names like Key Lime Pie for Kitkat and Lemon Meringue Pie for Lollipop, we expect a similar approach for Macadamia Nut Cookie build as well. Google will likely use the short version – Android M in the presentation at Google I/O later this week.
Google I/O 15 will take place between May 28 and May 29, and it is the world-wide annual google developers conference where we explore together the latest in tech, mobile and beyond.
