Xperia Z5 with Snapdragon 820 and Qualcomm’s Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor

The Xperia Z4 is yet to be announced by Sony Mobile, but this doesn’t stop people from gossiping about other products like the Sony Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact or the Xperia Z5 Ultra.

AndroidOrigin blog claim that a source familiar with Sony Mobile plans for the rest of 2015 has revealed to them details about three up and coming Xperia phones: Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact and Z5 Ultra.

Their source hint at an all new Z5 smartphone that will sport a Quad HD display (variant for key markets, while the rest of the globe will apparently receive a Full HD model of this bad boy), Qualcomm’s recently announced 3D Ultrasonic fingerprint scanning technology, 4GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 820 chipset, that if Qualcomm is able to produce enough and on time SoC for the launch of the Xperia Z5 series.

We should expect the new series launch at IFA 2015 (September), or the next couple of months after that, bearing a completely new design. The same source claim Sony Mobile will drop its 5 generations old Omnibalance design, which is not bad, considering that most appreciated smartphones today are not square, but slightly round-ish.

How do you find these new rumours?
