Huawei is one of the few mobile makers that did not launch a flagship smartphone earlier this month at the annual Mobile World Congress 2015, in Spain.
According to a series of Huawei P8 launch Ads published by the Chinese OEM on Weibo social network, the Huawei flagship smartphone is due to launch next month (likely on April 15). Probably wondering why “Huawei P8,” and not “Ascend P8.” Well, because it has been rumoured that the Chinese company will drop the Ascend naming scheme as of this year.
One of the Huawei P8 Ads / Posters (see photos inside this article) depict a huge digital 8 number with a calculator and several currency symbols, that may hint or not to Huawei’s own mobile payment system. The remaining Huawei P8 ads are clearly mentioning the P8 name, as well as making reference to Huawei’s new and delicate as a flower (our own decipher) design of the up and coming flagship device.
In terms of hardware specs, the Huawei P8 is said to feature a Full HD screen of unknown size and packing an 64-bit octa-core Kirin 930 processor coupled by 3GB of RAM underneath a ultra-thin (6mm) metal housing. P8 might also feature fingerprint scanning technology and most likely 4G LTE Cat 6.
