Samsung’s new flagship phones were announced this week at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. It’s possible that the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge prices have been released ahead of the April 10th launch.
Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge prices:
It’s possible that unlocked-mobiles.com may have leaked the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge Prices. These are for, as you may have guessed from the name of the site, the SIM free prices, although it’s not clear which storage point this is for. Educated guesses put it at the smallest 32 GB specs.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge prices have not yet been confirmed or denied by Samsung yet, but the question has been put to them. According to Unlocked-Mobiles, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will cost £549.98 ($832/€763) and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will cost £649.98 ($982/€902).
In case you missed it, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge prices are well placed, considering both come with the following hardware specification: a 64 bit Quad-Core Exynos processor, a “state of the art” 5.1 inch 2560×1440 (577ppi) screen, Android 5.0 Lollipop and 16 MP and 5 MP cameras. Both come with the same tiers of storage at 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. The main difference is that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge effectively has two screens; one ‘normal’ screen and one round the edge of the body which displays minor notifications such as the date and time etc.
You can learn more about Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge from the official hands-on videos, Samsung released on YouTube earlier this week.
Both phones are due to go on sale on April 10th worldwide and are hotly anticipated by Samsung to sell well, in a hope to turn round previous years poor sales. Not only do they have previous year’s sales to compete with, but also the influx of other premium flagship smartphones from the likes of HTC, Huawei and LG. Not to mention Android’s big rival, the iPhone which won’t be released till summer.
Will you be getting a new Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge? Let us know in the comments. If not, which other offerings from MWC have caught your fancy?
