Over three weeks ago, a semi-reliable source of ours, said that Gionee will be launching a new record breaker for the worlds slimmest smartphone. Well, that didn’t happen at the yesterday’s announcement in Barcelona, as Gionee released the Elife S7, which is 5.5 mm thin like its older sibling, the Elife S5.5.
Gionee Elife S7 runs Android 5.0 and it features a 5.2-inch AMOLED Full HD display, it is powered by a MediaTek MT6752 SoC with an octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage, dual SIM LTE slots, 13 and 8 megapixels cameras and a 2,750 mAh battery underneath its thin and slick-looking housing of glass and metal. There wont be any microSD card slot, so one will have to adjust to the limited 16GB of space, but sure, there is always the optional cloud storage solution.
Gionee Elife S7 smartphone will go on sale March 18th, available in three colours: North Pole White, Maldives Blue and Los Angeles Black (whatever the colour) for approximately 400 Euros, followed by the Indian market April 3rd.
