HTC One M8 Android 5.0 Lollipop update released in UK

HTC One M8 Android 5.0 Lollipop Update

Last year, after Google released Android 5.0 Lollipop, HTC promised it would update all users of their flagship phone within about 90 days of release. Today, a week after the M8 unlocked and developer edition received the upgrade, HTC UK announces via their Twitter that the HTC One M8 Android 5.0 Lollipop is rolling out across the UK.

HTC One M8 Android 5.0 Lollipop Update:

Weighing in at 780 MB, given the sexy title of “4.16.401.10” and consisting of ‘Enhanced Lockscreen UI and privacy features’, ‘Support for multiple pages on recent apps’ and ‘search function within settings’, the update will now bring the HTC One M8 up-to-date with Google Software.

There were no details form HTC as to when the HTC One M7 might get the update or the HTC One Mini 2, but it’s fair to assume it won’t be long now.

If your HTC One M8 isn’t being updated yet, give it a couple of hours, it’s probably in the pipes.
