Acer announced a couple of new devices ahead of CES 2015 under the Liquid line of devices. Both devices,the Liquid Jade S and the Liquid Z410 cost $€129 and €299 respectively. Starting of with the Liquid Z410 is a mid range device which has some pretty awesome specifications for that price range under the hood.
The Liquid Z410 sports a 64-bit MediaTek MT6732 chip-set which supports 4G LTE (Cat. 4) connectivity coupled with a with Mali-T760 GPU. This is backed up by and a battery that will power through 400 hours of standby according to Acer. They haven’t divulged information in regards to the amount of RAM this device is packing either.As for the camera,the Liquid Z410 has a 5MP main camera with 2 MP front-facing camera.
The Liquid z410 also features front-facing DTS Studio Sound speakers. A feature that you don’t see too often on devices has been included in this device. Its a programmable back button on the back of the device,right below the camera (think LG G2/G3). Last but not least,we have the display,which is a 4.5-inch IPS qHD display with 245 ppi pixel density. We aren’t so sure what version of android this device will run,but it might most certainly run KitKat right out the box. The device should be available in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East by the end of the month.
As for the Liquid Jade S, it is a 5-inch display device also sporting a 64-bit Mediatek MT6752M chip-set processor,with Cat 4 LTE support too. Its supported by a Mali-T760 graphics chip. Apart from that,it also has a 13 mega-pixel F1.8 rear camera and a front facing 5 mega-pixel camera with a “smile to shoot” feature.The device will launch with Android 4.4 Jelly Bean right out of the box and will be upgradeable to Lollipop when its available.It also launches this month as well.
