Samsung has launched an upgraded variant of its popular Galaxy Note 4 phablet in South Korea, the refreshed Note 4 supports LTE-A Tri-Band capabilities, allowing it to harness the full potential of LTE-A Category 9 networks. That effectively translates into download speeds of 300Mbps which is a theoretical maximum speed of 400Mbps.
The Galaxy Note 4 S-LTE also features Qualcomm‘s latest silicon offering, the Snapdragon 810 SoC with its new LTE modem, the SoC sports eight AArch64-capable cores; four ARM Cortex-A57 and another four Cortex-A53 cores a big.LITTLE configuration. The rest of the spec list however remains identical to its predecessor.
Samsung is expected to make this particular variant available for major Korean carriers SK Telecom (SM-N916S) and Olleh (SM-N916K). There is no word any eventual global release at this time.
