LG G3 receives Android 5.0 software update in Europe. Polish users are the first to upgrade their phones to Lollipop flavour as of this week.
In a press release issued earlier today, LG Electronics announced that it will begin rolling out Android 5.0 upgrade to G3 users. Europeans are the first in line followed shortly by other key markets from America, Africa or Asia.
“LG is absolutely committed to giving our customers the best mobile experiences available and bringing Android Lollipop to G3 owners as soon as possible is a top priority,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “The new features and improvements in Android 5.0 will bring a whole new user experience to the G3 and make it even better than it already is.”
The latest build delivers Lollipop and a bunch of improvements that includes a new design language with added depth, shadows and animations all based on Google’s Material Design project. The Notifications system is also improved with a new layout, a new colour scheme and will be accessible on the new lock screen that LG is working on. There is also a new security feature to strengthen the connectivity as well as any data transferred between devices, such as the LG G Watch or G Watch R.
Regarding the remaining LG mobile devices, the company will post similar local announcements as the upgrade to Android 5.0 becomes available.
